a much needed update

So it has been about 10 months since I last posted. Mainly because I forgot a had a blog, now I will do my best to keep you all up to date with my life as sometimes boring as it may be.  Well, our little Lacey is 10.5 months old now and super busy crawling everywhere.  She likes to be where ever her big sister Brooke-Lynn is.  Brooke is 5 and just graduated from preschool today.  She is loving her jazz, tap and ballet classes.  David is making knives full time right now and is loving it and I love seeing him so excited about something.  I am busy chasing the girls and being 33 weeks pregnant.   We  are having another little princess.  Her name will be Ashlie Kate Roeder.  She is due July 10 2012 one week before Lacey Bug's first birthday :)

Lacey Ann Roeder

Miss Lacey Ann Roeder entered the world Sunday July 17, 2011 at 6:06 pm weighing in at 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. I was supposed to be induced Sunday night at about 9 but she had other plans.  My water broke early Sunday morning at about 3:30 I took a shower thinking that I could possibly go back to sleep. NOPE!! I woke Dave up and told him that it was time. He of course was not all the way awake so it took him a minute to actually wake up and realize what was going on.  We headed to the hospital and we were told to stay because yes we were going to have a baby. :)  We did the rounds around Family Birthing and at about 10:00 in the  morning the doctor gave me some potassium to help things along.  According to Dave I did AWESOME through the whole thing.  Lacey was born with  the cord  wrapped around her little neck twice and her shoulders and waist once.  So the poor little bug was sent to tot her he special care nursery for a few hours.  We got her back a few hours  later.  We had her out with the nurse so that we could get some rest.  Well, miss Lacey Bug decided to stop breathing for a little bit. Of course they rushed her back to the nursery she ended up with an infection and she has to stay there for 48 hours on the antibiotic which will be up here in about an hour. So we will be going home tomorrow :) YEAH!!!

desire (or rather lack of)

OK, So I'm almost 29 weeks pregnant, I would like to be more intimate with my husband.  Though for some unknown reason, at least it is unknown to me. I have very little desire lately.  It is bugging me and frustrating the heck out of my husband.  He told me tonight that I do not even let him snuggle up next to me in bed at night or let him put his hand on my tummy.  I have no clue on that one.  I really do not remember things at night that happen while I'm sleeping.  I need some helpful advice on this subject please.  GRR!!

She is doing good growing and moving . She weighs about 2 pounds and 2 ounces or so. I'm so excited to meet her in July.  Brooke can not wait to wear matching clothes.

We should not be here

So, it is April 2nd and the Afternoon session of general conference will be starting here in about in hour or so. Where am  I? Well stuck at home we were supposed to be in Utah attending G.C. live and in person.  The plan was to leave super super early Friday morning.  Well, payment of a knife was not made and has yet to be paid. So we are stuck here at home.  Though we will be there come hell or high water in October David said. We could go earlier but I'm thinking October because we have a baby due the end of July.  OK I'm done

GO AWAY Grumpies!!

So yesterday little miss Brooke-Lynn woke up with a severe case of the grumpies.  Nothing at all seemed to help her so she was sent to bed and had to listen to this song by Tory Christensen, called go away Grumpies.  It seemed to work the grumpies left until today at the worst possible time.  We were at the doctor's office to listen to the baby and to get the U/S set up. Well I had to go potty and she stayed with David and threw a huge fit complete with major attitude. So I went back by myself to listen to the baby's heart.  The little one is doing good.  We get to find out next Wednesday what we are having.  Here's hoping that the Grumpies are gone for a LONG TIME!!!!

I’ve got the Grumpies and I don’t know why

I’ve got the Grumpies and they are making me cry

Sometimes I wake up and I’m feeling sad

I’ve got the grumpies and I start Getting mad

So I yell . . . . .

Go away Grumpies

I want to go out and play

Go away Grumpies

You can’t ruin my day

But sometimes the grumpies, they’ll sneak up on you

And that’s when the grumpies, start telling you what you should do

But don’t you listen say, “Stop right there.”

Make a mean face and give that grumpy a scare.

Just yell . . .

Go away Grumpies

I want to go out and play

Go away Grumpies

You can’t ruin my day

baby and such

So... The other day I was taking to Brooke-Lynn and asked her what she thought I was having.  She promptly told me I was having a baby girl, and that she wanted a baby sissy.  OK that's fine but who told you that?  No one really mom. I just don't want a baby brother I want a baby sissy first and then later I can have a brother.  Sounds good to me but we will have to wait and see.  My wonderful hubby got me a Doppler that came in the mail the other day.  Brooke always wants to hear the baby's heart.  She is soo sweet.  I'm truly blessed.

The joys of pregnancy :)

So I'm almost 13 weeks pregnant :) :)  (on Sunday)  I thought I was past the not feeling good and throwing up part.  I was good from the beginning of the month (January)  until Wednesday.  I had taken my prenatal and a multi vitamin and grabbed a fruit cup on the way out to go to Costco to pick up my contacts which I had been out of since 12/28  well, we got almost to Ely on 45th and I was starting to feel kinda icky, so Dave pulled over, it passed so we went on our way.  We went on and then BAM!!! on my shirt in my purse on my wallet and I on Dave's leather coat.  He is so sweet, I kept saying I was sorry and he said no worries. We went home and I cleaned up and then we went on our way once again.  Good news I got a new cute purse and wallet.  Dave was soo funny, he told me that if I wanted a new purse I just had to ask and not throw up in it.  I'm doing better now but I think I will stay a way from fruit cups for awhile.  I have not had any cravings yet though.

a look back on 2010 and a look forward to 2011

Last January started out good. Then the end of the month I gave my family quite the scare.  I ended up being taken to the hospital due to an ectopic pregnancy.  I'm of course doing great now.  We had another miscarrage in July, Though our dream came true in November 3 days before Thanksgiving. We found out that we are going to have a baby.  I called my doctor to let him know and he did blood work and everythig was going just dandy.  We had our first appointment December 27, the day before my birthday. We were able to see our little baby dancing on the ultra sound screen.  Our due date is July30 2011.  2010 was a good year now I'm looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us.  We have been doing good at reading our scriptures every night.  I just need to work on journal writing and personal scriptures.

Things Brooke-Lynn says

So Brooke was at Grandma's house about a week ago, and was asked if she would like some juice. Brooke of course said yes and so my mom got out some tomato juice and Brooke-Lynn promptly replied sorry Grandma my doctor said I can't drink it.  Then just the other night at dinner Dave had a Dr. Pepper and Brooke had apple juice. She looked over at Dave and said my doctor said I can not drink that type of juice. I can only have apple juice. She is so silly.  Saturday night I had put her to bed, and I was cleaning up around the house and I heard her fussing. I went in to check on her and she told me that she was missing her baby sister and baby brother. I told her that we just have to wait and be patient. She told me that it is really hard to wait. I know sweetheart it is hard for me too.  Mommy? Yes Brooke. Grandpa Merrill is taking care of them right? Yes love he is, and when it is their turn they will come and join us.

our Eternal family

On Saturday October 16, 2010 at 2:00 in the afternoon my family became eternal. Nothing can separate us now.  It was the most wonderful tender experience EVER.  I could not help but smile all day knowing that I will always be with my family.  Brooke-Lynn looked just like an angel wearing all white. She loved looking in the mirrors, that went on and on. She and all of us there felt the spirit so strong there that day.

the temple ;)

David and I were able to go the Columbia River Temple on Saturday the 25th. It was David's first time and my first time going with him. It was AMAZING!! I was waiting waiting for him in the Celestial room, my mom told me it was OK to sit down on a couch and wait for him. There was NO WAY I was going to sit and wait for him, as soon as I saw him I gave him the biggest tightest hug ever. I love that man.  Now we just wait until Saturday October 16 at 2:00pm and then we will be sealed together FOREVER!! YEAH

It seems like it may never happen.

David and I have been married for almost a year. November 7 is our anniversary. So since then we have been trying to have a baby(or babies) As you my or may not know it has been SOO hard for me. We found out last December that we were indeed excpecting. :) Happy news of course and then on my birthday we found out I misarried. Sad news. Then January came I had a tubal pregnancy and I'm very blessed for the preisthood in my life or honestly I do not think I would be here. So we fast forward to June. We are on a family vacation in Oregon with wonderful friends of ours. I took a test and yes we were pregnant.  I was soo EXCITED and nervous at the same time. My wonderful husband gave  me a blessing and I thought that it meant that the baby would be fine and nothing was going to happen. WRONG!!! Again. miscarried the first of July.  The Doctor had blood work done to make sure there was nothing preventing me from having a healthy baby. Everything came back fine. Now is where me being patient comes in. So for the most part  I am a very patient person, but not when it comes to this whole not having a baby situation. I'm really not trying to be selfish at all. Sorry if it comes across that way. I just keep praying and now I have to let go and leave it in Heavenly Father's hands and know that He knows best for me, and just TRUST him.

GRR!!

So, as you all know my biological father died last Friday night. They are having a memorial service for him tomorrow morning in Wenatchee. At first I was going to go to the memorial service thing, but Don was never a part of my life and I barely knew anyone on his side of his family (his children or siblings) I got a text from Noreen my half sister asking why I was not going to attend. I told her that Brooke and I are not feeling that good. She replied that I need to go because it is part of the grieving process. Though I'm not sad that he died, I'm not happy, so I guess I'm indifferent about the whole thing.  So, they can ask me all they want to but I will not be attending the memorial service. I'm happy with my life and feel that if I were to attend it would just bring up questions that will never be answered and possibly anger.

sad news.

So, I was at the Women's conference that my stake (Kennewick East) had put on. I was in line for some lunch, when I noticed that my phone was vibrating. I picked it up, because I noticed it was my sister Noreen's number. Well, it was my brother Ray on the phone telling me that my father had passed away last night. I did not hear him at first so I had him repeat what he had just said. He told me again and I was and still in a bit of shock.  He and my mom divorced when I was little and my mom remarried the man I called dad and whom I'm sealed too. It just makes me sad that he passed away. I wish I had known him better, or something. It's almost like my dad (Merrill) passing away again.  On a brighter note the women's conference was amazing!!

Brooke-Lynn

So Last Saturday the 13th  Brooke and were in the living room doing something. She comes up to me (out of the blue) and says to me, Mommy Heavenly Father loves you. I tell her He loves you too, very serious she tells me I know that mom. Then she goes on to tell me that Jesus is going to put two babies in my tummy a baby girl and a baby boy. She then put her hand on my tummy and said Jesus will put the babies in your tummy as soon as it feels better, almost all better she said. It took all I had not to cry. So then at Walmart today she said the same thing. I do not know where she is getting this, except from the spirit.
